Mark's Trees

My name is Mark Paterson and I develop and manage the Vancouver Island Bonsai Club Website.

These are some of my bonsai trees. I hope you like them.

My other website is mentioned at the bottom of the page.

This was my favorite escallonia from the 2000 escallonia I looked over in one afternoon in the summer of 2007

Kinicknick, nursery 07, spring

Same kinickinck as to the right, fall 07

I wish the tree shaped like a hand had survived, but I still have the hand.

Before wiring, this tree was abandoned by a fellow bonsai enthusiast. Winter 07.

Mame sales picture, summer 06

Simple and easy Home Depot boxwood, spring 07

Local Species - Cottonspray, Swan Lake Natural Plant Sale 06

Juniper, bought in august 07. Worked Feb 5, 6. About 4 and a half hours.

The first thing to do was get rid of the long thin branches

I wired the heck out of it. Something still bothered me. The tree was too sprawling. The spike seemed silly.

I photoshopped some pictures, removing this or that branch. The second I finished this, I stood and went back to the tree.

I shortened the spike, and removed the heavy back branch. It worked!
