Scale insects look like small, brown blisters on the leaves & stems of plants. They exude a sticky "honeydew" that falls fiom the insects to the leaves below | ||

In all I think I scraped 300 scale off this Meyer's Improved Lemon. Then I sprayed it with Safer's Soap -a fatty acid pesticide, to kill leftover adults, juveniles, and eggs. It took two applications over the course of a week to get rid of them all. |
